Momo Pinot Noir Marlborough 2008
External Reviews for Momo Pinot Noir Marlborough
Soft and round, with a lively bead of blackberry, plum and spice flavor bouncing easily over silky tannins as the finish persists enticingly. Has style and transparency. Drink now through 2014.
Brilliant, light ruby color with eye-catching clarity. The wine is just as pure on the palate, with an intense strawberry and cherry-bark fruit nuanced with orange peel and clove spice. Elegant, with tremendous verve and concentration; a Pinot Noir with vibrant fruit, yet refreshingly restrained. Medium-light body with a perfumy, lingering finish packed with lipsmacking freshly-picked berries.
Moderately saturated medium red. Slightly reduced aromas of raspberry, strawberry, milk chocolate and smoke. Supple, suave and easygoing if a bit reduced. Slightly diffuse red fruit flavors firm up on the finish.
Aromas of dark cherry, mocha, new leather & hints of spice. The palate is concentrated with succulent dark fruits layered over smoke and fine mouth-coating tannins. Delicious with most red meats, mushroom dishes, or hearty fish like salmon. This wine has the potential to improve over the next five years.
