- Lots of new oak and sweet black fruit with deep, rich, ripe, supple, almost roasted flavors and good if not exceptional length. Enjoyable and quite forward but in a rather woody style as the oak imparts a somewhat creamy texture to the flavors and finish.

- Noticeable but not overwhelming new oak wraps sweet black fruit aromas with deep, rich, very ripe, supple flavors that display hints of torrefaction plus good if not exceptional length. Enjoyable and quite forward but in a moderately woody style as the oak imparts a creamy texture to the flavors and finish. Interestingly, this has become more balanced with age rather than less as the once very strong oak has become better integrated. A nice if not truly exceptional effort.
