- This is a somber wine yet beautiful in its fashion with a striking mix of primary and secondary aromas nuanced by spice, earth and game notes that lead to rich, full and delineated medium full flavors that possess a structured, moderately austere character, culminating in a long, complex and penetrating finish. I quite like the overall balance and personality but it will not please those who enjoy exuberant, easy to like burgs as this is still reserved and brooding. I would hold for another 4 to 5 years and drink over the next 10. Tasted twice with consistent notes.
