- I've tasted better non-villages beaujolais, so this was a disappointment. Smells of gummie bears, ripe cherries and hints of raspberry and strawberry. Highly acidic on the tongue, and candied flavour on the back of the tongue. Not very satisfying -- expected more from a "Villages" appellation.
