Very enjoyable. Don't forget to do the "Mollydooker Shake." Nice video on their website demonstrating the technique. Powerful & Full with a long finish. Have a bottle of Blue Eyed Boy that I can't wait to open based on how much I enjoyed the Boxer!

My first taste of "The Boxer" and a pleasant experience it was. This wine is perfect for drinking on its own in convivial ambiance with its deep, rich, dense and noticeably sweet, candied Maraschino cherry dominance of the palate. Very Oz, with the power and majesty of a usurper of the throne, this wine has, in my opinion, less elegance or finesse than (say) a top rank Côte-Rotie - if that's what you're seeking. But this does not mean the wine is not very, very good; simply that it is what it is and is good at what it is. Delicious!

Matured on American oak, 57% new, the 2009 The Boxer Shiraz has a very deep garnet-purple color and intense blackberry, licorice, tar, menthol and cocoa bean aromas. Very full-bodied and with medium-firm fine-grained tannins and generous, warm-berry finish, it is nicely balanced by crisp acid, finishing long and a little hot. Drink this one now to 2016.

A wonder from down under, Mollydooker wines were launched with the 2004 vintage and were an instant cult classic. Renowned winemaking team Sparky and Sarah Marquis continue to produce broodingly rich, decadent offerings that are snapped up as quickly as they are put on the shelf. The Wine Advocate scored this 91 points saying "Matured in American oak, 57% new, the 2009 The Boxer Shiraz has a very deep garnet-purple color and intense blackberry, licorice, tar, menthol and cocoa bean aromas. Very full-bodied and with medium-firm fine-grained tannins and generous, warm-berry flesh, it is nicely balanced by crisp acid, finishing long and a little hot. Drink this one now to 2016." Dense, focused and juicy in the mouth, a powerhouse that brims with blueberry, currant, smoke and spice flavors, segueing seamlessly into the long finish. Drink now through 2016. 18,285 cases made. -HS Wine Spectator. A Syrah wine from South Australia in Australia. 2009 Mollydooker The Boxer 750ml

The 2008 Shiraz The Boxer is the deepest colored of the Mollydooker wines. Fragrant scents of bacon, game, lavender, plum, and blueberry lead to a dense, layered, ripe, and intense wine that can be enjoyed now but will continue to drink well for another 5ndash;7 years.

The 2006 Shiraz ldquo; The Boxerrdquo; is opaque purple. The compelling nose exhibits aromas of scorched earth, smoke, grilled bacon, blueberry compote, and blackberry liqueur. Full-bodied, thick and rich, this layered Shiraz is velvety-textured and opulent. The finish lasts for nearly a minute. It is a sensational value. It can be enjoyed now but will evolve for several years.

The 2005 The Boxer Shiraz (primarily from McLaren Vale, followed by Langhorne Creek and Padthaway) exhibits a black/blue/purple color, an incredible density of fruit along with that tell-tale purity, blackberries, white flowers, melted chocolate, sweet licorice, and subtle wood. Full-bodied, beautifully textured and layered with an awesome finish, it should drink well for 4ndash;6+ years.
