deep inky ruby color with viscous legs; intense, opulent blackberry, blueberry and tar on the nose; full bodied, lush mouthfeel and a bit hot; tastes like stereotypical big aussie shiraz...then again i'm drinking it out of a red solo cup, so who knows

Nose is intoxicating, literally... with blueberry jam on toast and vanilla. Dark and obviously hot. Full bodied and showing sweet blackberry that turns spicy but drying after the initial flavor burst that finishes very hot with a lasting flavor of sour blackberry on the finish. This wine is out of balance. I know there are people out there that really enjoy these but obviously, I'm not one of them. This wine could be poured over ice cream of drank for a quick buzz.

Tried the wine pre and post Mollydooker shake. The shaking definitely opens the wine up a lot. Yes, you can trust the seal on the screwcap. This is inky, fruity stuff. I can see this going over amazingly at a party or a bbq but this is not a wine to be drunk in a quiet setting. I will have to revisit in the proper setting.

Tasted from an enomatic system. Shiraz is hit or miss with me, but this is a deep, dark, complex nosed and delicious example of great Australian shiraz. Great notes of dark berries, oak, chocolate. I was pleasantly surprised.

Explosive fruit on this, as well as some tight tannins. Definitely decant if you will be drinking now. Lots of bramble fruit on the palate - it is a mouthfull!

Deep inky purple nearly opaque. Scents of dark berries and meat. Incredible balance and fantastic fruit taste. Subtle hints of chocolate ... Just amazing

Inky purple. Boysenberry and blueberry syrup aromas, with notes of chocolate syrup, and a whiff of heat gaining strength with air. Thick, creamy and extremely sweet; tastes like an artificial dark berry pancake syrup, with no noticeable tannins or acidity. The finish refuses to let go of the palate, suggesting that persistence isn’t always a good thing. I thing I’ve finally found the wine to serve with the Luther Burger.

Another highly coveted Shiraz by producer Molly Dooker. Get it while you can.

The opaque purple-colored 2007 Blue-Eyed Boy Shiraz spent 12 months in 80% new American oak. It offers up an enticing nose of cedar, tobacco, mineral, blueberry, and black raspberry. Opulent on the palate, this glossy effort will evolve for another 1andndash;2 years but can be enjoyed now and over the next decade.

If you like red wines that are big bold and jammy this wine is definitely for you! The color is dark and inky with aromas of violets berries and spice. This wine has matured nicely making it velvety smooth with plenty of structure and balance. Layers of black raspberry blueberries and anise emerge upon the palate. The long lasting finish makes your mouth water and leaves you wanting more. Serve this wine with grilled flank steak with horseradish sauce.

96 Points - Wine Spectator "Lithe, generous and beautifally proportioned, offering a seamless array of dark plum, blueberry and sandalwood flavors wrapped in a veil of fine-grained tannins. Finishes with an intriguing face-off of sweet fruit and spice that keeps on for quite a while. Best from 2011 through 2019. "

Winemaker's Notes:

Our whole family is involved in making our wines, and many of those who enjoy Mollydooker wines become our friends, so we named this wine the Carnival of Love, because the wines bring us all together. If you look closely you will notice that the Lefty characters are all included in the label and when you join the Carnival of Love and the Enchanted Path together, the two labels form one beautiful continuous love story.
