This Shiraz is a knock out! The 2005 was an enormous hit, after receiving 95 points from Robert Parker and being selected by him as the "Best Value Wine in the World under $20". The 2006 will knock you out again with exuberant fruit, incredible flavors and color, and great length. The fruit is sourced from our Shiraz vineyards in McLaren Vale, Padthaway & Langhorne Creek

Wine Spectator ReviewRated 91Big, ripe and focused, offering a blast of cherry and plum, with a welcome floral note that lasts through the long, vivid finish. Has a touch of spice as the finish lingers against fine tannins. Drink now through 2017.Wine Tasting NotesThis wine celebrates our journey in life and our partnership in winemaking. Just as we use our separate abilities to enhance our winemaking, we blend the separate characters of these two classic varieties into a beautiful wine. This blend is powerful, opulent, elegant, complex and utterly seamless from beginning to end.Our 2006 vintage was rated 94 points by The Wine Advocate and 93 points in Wine Spectator.Pairs with:Peppered lamb loin with thyme and mushroom risotto. Matches well with almost all savoury, full-flavored meats such as roasted lamb, beef short ribs or even spice-rubbed or barbequed chicken. Especially delicious with dried cherries, salted marcona almonds and milk chocolate!

95 points - Robert Parker The 2007 Enchanted Path, a blend of 67% Shiraz and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, is aged in mostly American oak, 70% new. Purple/black colored, it has a brooding bouquet of spice box, toasty oak, mineral, espresso, black currant, and blueberry. Structured and powerful on the palate, this dense, rich effort requires 5 to 7 years of additional cellaring and will offer prime drinking from 2014 to 2028. -(Feb 2009)

This is a beautiful example of two varieties blended to become one. The nose is rich and powerful, with lifted blackberry, plum and spice aromas. As you sip your palate is filled with immense flavor that physically explodes in your mouth. With an elegant, silky smooth texture, this wine lingers in your mouth long after the sip has gone.

Supple in texture and deftly balanced despite its size, this is a big wine that dances smoothly on the palate, while showing off its rich cherry, blueberry and sweet spice flavors. The parts melt together seamlessly as the finish rolls on and on. Drink now through 2016.

The 2005 Enchanted Path (66% Shiraz and 34% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in primarily American oak, 60% new) is fashioned from relatively young vines. It reveals an amazing opaque purple/blue/black color (always a hallmark of Marquis wines), a full-bodied, powerful, smoky nose, extravagant layers of fruit, spice, glycerin, and extract, full body, superb intensity, tremendous richness, and a seamless personality. It is a textbook example of a southern Australian red at its richest, fullest, and most pure. For consumers with open minds and progressive palates, this amazing red should age beautifully for 10-15 years.

Winemaker's Notes:

91 pts - Wine SpectatorThis is a pre-buy price available for a short time only. Regular Price (after Pre-Buy offer ends): $106.99Opaque purple-colored, the wine has a fragrant bouquet of pain grille, leather, smoked meat, game, blueberry, and blackberry. This is followed by a structured wine with intense, spicy black fruit flavors, full-body, and superb balance. It is still tightly wound and will benefit from 6-8 years of cellaring.
