What to Expect

Australia has certainly made Syrah its own, even bestowing it with a new name: Shiraz. In the warm, dry climate of Australia this noble grape, responsible for some of the grandest wines of France, produces an intense, unique expression that is distinctly Australian. The ripe grapes take on classic notes of black pepper and leather that add depth and complexity to the black cherry and plum fruits on the palate. Australian Shiraz has typically been aged in American Oak barrels which impart the wine with a distinct note of vanilla that can add to the impression of ripeness many of these wines have, but the time in barrel also allows the wines a chance to settle and reveal their rich, voluptuously styled mouthfeel.

A little over the top, but very good when you're in the mood for that style. I often am, and liked it a lot. At $20, a decent QPR.
A little heat on the finish, but it blows off after 30 min or so.
A good wine to check out the "Mollydooker Shake", and I think it works!

Color: deep purple, big color.

Nose: same bouquet as vodka and unsweetened, fresh-squeezed blueberry juice.

Flavor Profile: Starts out silky-smooth and "velvety." Over-the-top fruit; explosions of blueberry jelly, blackberry reduction sauce, over-ripe strawberries and cherries, really "jammy."

Surprisingly well-balanced wine (given the 16% alcohol content). The strong fruit flavors and acid tame the alcohol.

A totally new-world wine... like cramming your mouth full of different flavors of berry preserves.

Incredibly fruity, heavy-duty taste. Often compared with the Boxer (the straight Shiraz from this winemaker), the Two Left Feet tastes better fresh out of the bottle, but fails to develop quite as much given an hour or so to breathe. Inky-red, and very fruity, delicious flavor.

We were wowed with our first 2 left feet when it first came out and just opened one to go with a porterhouse steak and it was fantastic! Powerful, full of fruit and layered. This wine keeps getting better and we only have 2 bottles left. For the price, an extraordinary value

Gigantic fruit bomb that leaves you hanging on the finish.

I tend to rattle on about Mollydooker but when you find your drop, you find your drop.

Two left feet describes me after a bottle which I found hearty and good to drink.

Heavy, full bodied, large fruity flavor. Make sure you get your MollyDooker shake on for this one, then decant and drink.

Must eat with meat! ha
