Food Pairings for Mohua Pinot Gris Central Otago
A classic Central Otago Pinot Gris made in a style ensuring fruit freshness. The nose abounds with pear, red apples and melon and a palate that delivers flavours reminiscent of ripe pears and stone fruit. The 2009 growing season was long with warm days and cool nights providing perfect conditions for producing a classic Central Otago Pinot Gris. The fruit is 100% Central Otago sourced from the Cromwell basin and Gibbston sub-regions. Individual vineyard lots were kept separate and cool fermented in stainless steel vats to retain fruit character. The wine was then left to mature on yeast lees to add extra mouth feel and complexity.
