Moët & Chandon Champagne Blend Champagne Cuvée Dom Pérignon Rosé 1996
"This is going to be a great wine: going to be, because it is still firm,<br/>dry, serious and very pure with structure over the red fruits and acidity. Give<br/>this wine another five years at least... and then it will be both impressive<br/>and delicious."<br/><br/>95/100 Points, Wine Enthusiast, Jan 2006

definitely more interesting than regular Dom Perignon
Not a big fan of Dom but this is pretty good. Probably not so good that it makes up for that hefty price tag though .... still pretty good.
Fantastic Champagne. Crisp and rich. I usually drink Moet White Star, but this is a fantastic wine to celebrate...limited availability.
light tangy citrus
Four and a half glasses

On the palate. In a paradox that typifies the vintage, concentration and movement vie each other with an affirmation of boldness and authority. The tastes progress with strength - tense, radiant and sharp. The finish is firm, underscored with a slightly vanilla-spicy note. The 1996 harvest. The year was full of contrasts. In the end, it was the periods of high heat in the months preceding the harvest (the start of which was spread from September 16 to October 1) that led to the exceptional maturity of the harvest, marked by a rare balance of power and acidity.
Three 1996s from Dom Perignon are special. After having compared original releases and OEnotheque bottlings across a number of vintages going back to 1964, I am increasingly of the belief that the most enjoyable Dom Perignons are impeccably stored bo...
