Moët & Chandon:
Moet & Chandon is one of the most well-known luxury champagne producers in the word.   Moet & Chandon is one of the most well-known luxury champagne producers in the word. With over 2,500 acres of vineyards and an annual champagne production of 26,000,000 bottles, Moet & Chandon lives, breathes, and, of course, drinks champagne. The House of Moet was founded in 1743 by Claude Moet, but it wasn’t until his grandson, Jean-Remy Moet, took over that the company really took off and became an international luxury brand. Jean-Remy Moet strove to bring the pleasure of champagne to everyone he could, forming partnerships with both French and international clients on a regular basis. When Jean-Remy Moet sold the House of Moet to his son Victor Moet and his son-in-law Pierre-Gabriel Chandon in 1833, the ensuing partnership formed Moet & Chandon. Shortly after the new branding, in 1842, Moet & Chandon released its first vintage champagne, leading the way to even higher-quality champagne. In 1921, they produced their first prestige cuvée under the brand Dom Pérignon, named after a Benedictine monk who was an important pioneer for champagne. The first vintage released for sale was in 1936, and today it is managed by winemaker Richard Geoffroy. Read less

Well integrated fruit, refreshing, light bubbles. Too expensive for every day drinking but great for a special occasion.

It may be the best selling Champagne in the world but personally I can't see why that is the case. There isn't anything I can see that puts this right at the top of the NV's, the price sits in the middle of them all and I have had a lot better NV's in the past. Lots of bubbles, slightly biscuity and pale straw but its average Champagne at best.

A fresh rosé, displaying flavors of raspberry, fig, tangy cherry and smoke, with well-integrated acidity. Focused and harmonious, with a spiced, lip-smacking finish. Drink now through 2014.

Rose Imperial is the most extrovert and seductive expression of the Moet & Chandon style. It reflects the diversity and complementarities of the three champagne grapes and the richness of the region s best vineyards.

Light yellow. Smoky scents of buttery apple and pear, with suggestions of nutmeg and fresh thyme. Full and thick on the palate, showing ripe apple, buttered bread and a whiff of cherry that lingers through the finish. The weight and richness of this cuvandeacute;e suggest that it would be better at the table than as an aperitif.

Rich in texture and toasty in flavor, the fruit of this wine has yet to emerge. Moandeuml;tandrsquo;s Brut Imperial will often benefit from a year in the cellar, needing time to gain in flavor complexity.

Impeacute;rial, the best-selling Champagne brand in the world, is now the nonvintage Moeuml;t brand in the United States, replacing White Star. However, the American blend is sweeter than Impeacute;rial elsewhere, and similar to White Star, emphasizing fruitiness, ripe pear and creamy apple flavors and a soft, easy finish.

Tart red-fruit scents give this a vinous profile, fragrant with cranberry, root vegetables and ginger. It finishes clean, with cool limestone minerality. Cellar this for a year to let the flavors develop further.
