The pretty pink colour makes this an ideal Champagne for celebrating anything romantic. It really is a Rosé version of the Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial.
This is very dry. I do like dry champagne but this has a taste in your mouth after you swallow it that is very dry and citrusy. It is too overwhelming. So by itself it was too overpower. However, I had cut up some dry sausage and we started to eat it with this and it was good with the dry sausage.
External Reviews for Moet and Chandon Brut Imperial Rose
Pale pink. Delicate, racy aromas of flowers and spicy red berries. Focused, even tight, with tart red fruit flavors enlivened by tangy acidity. This is one of the driest versions of this wine I can recall. Finishes brisk and clean, with a lingering impression of white peach.
Pale strawberry color. Perfumed, spicy aromas of pink grapefruit, spearmint and red berries. Round and frothy in the mouth, with distinct red wine flavors. Vinous, serious and clean. Offers an almost floral perfume. Far better than the rather crude NV Brut Imperial and the rsquo;92 Brut Imperial Roseacute;.
Red cassis and roasted yeast scents play tight against the spicy acidity. Quite young, the sweet fruit and tough acidity should meld and soften with tiem. One judge likened this to a pre-made Kir Royale.
Dry and slightly tart, this rosé leaves a mouthwatering impression in the wake of strawberry and sour cherry notes. Lightweight, with a moderate finish. Drink now.
Traditional but exciting style of dry roseacute;, designed for dinner. Has a copper color, toasty aromas, firm texture and subtle fruit and spice flavors that linger on the finish. Drink now through 2001.
A bold, pure nose of strawberries and cherries is bright and lively, spiced with a faint green-herb note. A bit soft and even sweet-tasting but that only adds to its easy-drinking charm.
At first blush, the bouquet is rich and impenetrable, but when it opens citrus comes on strong. Chewy apple fruit with some Pinot heft define the palate, while licorice and anise add character to the finish. Plump, round and a pleasure to drink. Very substantive.
