Mitolo Shiraz Gam Syrah Wine 2009

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

A full-bodied very ripe rendering of Shiraz Mitolos 2009 G.A.M. offers hints of raisined fruit to go with its notes of coffee smoke roasted meat and baking spices. The creamy midpalate and velvety finish make it drinkable already although it should hold up well for another few years. J.C. Wine Enthusiast.

This rich red is redolent of tobacco roasted game and spices around a core of dark cherry and berry flavors playing against fine tannins. Best from 2014 through 2020. 400 cases imported. -HS Wine Spectator.

Deep dark purple. Pungent aromas of boysenberry and blackberry are complemented by dried flowers smoky oak and black tea. Sappy concentrated dark fruit flavors show a velvety texture and assertive spiciness with no rough edges and a late peppery note. Finishes with very good precision and resonating vanilla and blue fruit notes. This benefits from decanting. 91+ Stephen Tanzers IWC.
