Lithe and open-textured, with pretty currant and blackberry flavors, finishing with a spicy note and lingering well. Has a generosity and purity of flavor that sets it apart. Drink now.

Crisp black cherry and mint aromas burst from the glass, then carry over onto the chunky, authoritative palate before finishing slightly dusty and astringent. This medium-bodied Cabernet features plenty of intensity, it just needs a little time to settle down into a more refined package.

I was greatly impressed with this wine from the first time I tasted it! The handcrafting techniques and quality of the grapes used shows how much care is put into this production. Ripe berries hit you the moment you put your nose in the glass. The color is deep purple, the flavors juicy, the tannins subtle, the finish long and luscious. The flavors are layered with complexity and depth, and have all the characteristics I look for in a Cabernet Sauvignon.

Smooth and velvety, with distinctive cherry and raspberry flavors shaded with cedar and herb notes on the edges, lingering well. Drink now through 2012.

Winemaker's Notes:

Lifted peppery spice leads into an herbaceous mix of blackberries, currants and cloves. The partial Amarone method produces hints of liquorice, tar and leather whilst remaining fresh and vibrant. The youthful tannin structure will evolve over the next few years to become soft, supple and smooth.
