- Intense deep purple and violet hues suggest a depply flavored wine. There are powerful, hypnotic aromas of brandied cherries, Christmas pudding and smoky charcuterie lying beneath delicate aromatics of creme anglais, violet perfume and ripe mulberries. On the palate, the wine continues intently with harmony between power of fruit and delicacy of structure. The harmony arises from intense ripe fruits and mouth-filling weight deftly harnessed by the chalky tannins and gentle acidity which maintains the palate for a long time after drinking.
