Very rich and big. Blackberry, black cherry, rose petal and spice with a slight dark chocolate nuance. Nice, round and smooth. - Tasted at Napa Wine Company 4/20/10
Dark and mysterious without a hint of oak. Not too much alcohol heat either. I am actually reminded of a Rolo candy bar. (I recently had a limited edition Rolo Mcflurry at Mcdonald's and this had the same elements (although subtle) of milk chocolate and chewy caramel. I paired this with bourbon glazed petite filet and the battling sweetness between the wine and meat balanced out to perfection. This would go great with a BBQ like ribs or wings. Excellent!
