Miro Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley Piccetti Vineyard 2010
The grape yields in the 2010 vintage were lower than normal, producing wines with more depth, extraction and flavors. The grapes are grown on a steep hillside above the Dry Creek Valley. This Zin is a classic Dry Creek style: abundant jammy strawberry, blackberry and sweet dark cherry aromas surround a full-bodied red wine with fine tannins and a long, crisp and juicy finish. 220 cases made.
The Madara Horseman is based on a Bulgarian monument carved in bas relief twenty three meters above ground level in an almost vertical hundred meter high cliff. This mysterious sculpture was created at the beginning of the eighth century during the birth of the Bulgarian nation.
