Editorial Reviews for Mirassou Pinot Noir California
A bit buttery and lactic on the nose with attractive underlying red berry fruit that’s a touch tarry and framed with rather raw vanilla and oak aromas. This is smooth and a bit chewy if small scaled in the mouth with lots of sweet, candied raspberry fruit on the mid-palate that fades on the backend and leads to tart and somewhat candied and yet bitter finish. 80pts
Fruit forward and approachable in style, our 2010 Mirassou Pinot Noir has flavors of cherry, strawberry and red currant, which are supported by light vanilla and oak notes. This wine is well balanced with a round, full mouthfeel. -The Winery
Fruit forward with notes of red fruit. Soft tannins with a medium finish.
Raspberries, cherries on nose.....medium bodied slightly sweet
Enjoying this a lot right now after work. Looks great in the glass and a little heavy on the mouth for what I was expecting, but then it thins out. A lot of fruit up front but to me has a vanillia bit on the finish. After what I had before this taste like a Talley.
Nice. Fruity and full.

Our Mirassou California Pinot Noir displays fresh fruit flavors of pomegranates, cherries and currants with complementing aromas of strawberries, pomegranates and cherries. This wine is at its best if enjoyed within a year of release, but can age in the bottle for up to three years if carefully cellared. - Winery
Displaying intense fruit flavors of strawberries, pomegranates, and cherries, balanced with delicate floral notes, Mirassou California Pinot Noir is a bright reflection of our heritage as the pioneer
A crimson red color, with a smoky presentation of red berries, cherry, plum and red currant flavors. Weaving through are floral notes, spice and a gentle earthiness.
Intense flavors of strawberries, pomegranates, and cherries. These primary flavors are enhanced by secondary flavors of floral and spice characters. This wine is at its best if enjoyed within a year of release, but should be able to age in the bottle for up to three years.
The 2008 Pinot Noir is a soft, slightly herbal effort revealing hints of cola, plum and berry fruit offered in a medium-bodied, straightforward style that is hard to beat for the price. Both wines are best drunk in their first year of life.
For the price, you get a very nice expression of California Pinot Noir. The wine is dry, silky and spicy, and surprisingly rich, with flavors of raspberry and cherry pie filling.
