Mionetto Prosecco Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Brut 2011
This is perhaps the most neutral Prosecco I have tasted in this rather dry contemporary style. A slightly lemon-lime (citrus) nose with ample mousse yet a restrained pear-like effect on the palate. Less toasty than I am used to. The wine hails from the vicinity of the ancient city of Treviso. The price is right. 84 points.
Pleasantly refreshing before a light meal. Palate cleansing and charming.
A drier style than I am used to in this genre, still quite pleasant for a Summer evening.
Bright - fresh tasting -great value and palate pleasing Prosecco
Received this as a gift, and while I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I am one to provide a good review so others won't give this as a gift. The bubbles fall flat, the flavor is cheaply sweetened yet comes off bitter on the back of the tongue. It's a fail, and I can't believe my friend thought this was a good house warming gift. I still love her times one million though!
