Winemaker's Notes:

Tasting Notes: SILVER Medal at the 2004 CHALLENGE INTERNATIONAL DU VIN. SILVER Medal at the 2004 CITY OF OPORTO INTERNATIONAL WINE CHALLENGE. SEAL of APPROVAL at the 2004 WINE MASTERS CHALLENGE. Rating of 89 Points in WINE ENTHUSIAST. Rated BRONZE by Robert Joseph in the 2006 WINE BUYERS GUIDE. "The nose has a mineral aspect and a tang of salty sea air. Delicious toast and grapefruit. Characterful.Bronze Rating" Robert Joseph in Wine Buyers Guide 2006. "Avesso and Chardonnay blend. Smoky apples and pears. Lovely granitic minerality, excellent balance and length." Robin Garr in Wine Lovers Page. "The International Chardonnay and the local Avesso, with other contributions from the neighbourhood, created a nectar, dressed in intense yellow, with a honey veil. We feel a citric and mineral base covered with ripe pears, pineapple, grape sultanas and light aromas of milk and toast. Mouth fully evolving towards equilibrium, XL sized, of the fresh acidity and the untouos body. Persistant finish with a mineral signature. 87 Points." Anibal Coutinho in 200 Vinhos para 2006. Percentage Grape: Avesso and Chardonnay Type of Wood: French oak. Alcohol Percentage: 13.5 % Aging Potential: 7 to 8 years. Aging Time: 6 months Sugar Rate: 0-5 g/l Total Acidity: 5,6 g/l
