What to Expect

Syrah: One of the few grapes to really be a global success. Syrah combines a meaty core of ripe berry fruit with tones that range from herbal to peppery in a package that tends to be medium bodied with good acidity and softer tannins. With age the wines can gain lovely leathery and black olive notes that make them a great match for savory and gamy dishes.

Winemakers Notes

The Rhne Valley's rich winemaking tradition is the muse behind our opulent red blend, The Odyssey. With classic floral and anise aromas, this wine boasts fleshy dark fruit and a smoky, muscular character. Musty meat on the nose. Leathery but mellow mealy spice with candied orange and and bitter herbs on the finish (good call on the finish, GDP).

Loads of pungent dark fruit and spice, hints of oak and leather, big red raspberries and ripe blackberries, baking spices, molasses, and cocoa.

Like a big pile of rusty nails with a slap of scathing tartness in the face, it's really something awesome. Hints of smoked deli meats.
