Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

By nose: Black currant, cola and wild mushrooms. By mouth: Ripe plum, blueberryjam, gentle entry on the palate and a lingering pleasant finish. Match with stews, mushrooms, roasted chicken, roastedpheasant, roasted duck, roasted quail, rabbit any way and soft ripe cheese. Great with a properly prepared omelette.

Winemaker's Notes:

The 2006 “Q” Pinot Noir is a “single vineyard” bottling from a great site. This is called “Q” because that’s its designation on our vineyard map.

Tasting Notes:

By nose: Plum, sassafras, black cherry and smoky oak. By mouth: Preserved figs, pomard tannins (i.e. Firm and dry) ripe dark berry fruit on the finish. Match with duck, quail, pheasant, roast pork tenderloin or simply enjoy on it’s own.
