Miles Mossop 'Max' Cabernet Petit Verdot Merlot 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Yet another batch of 5 stars awarded to Miles Mossop for this delicious Bordeaux blend. Mossop is fast becoming one of South Africa's (indeed the world's) star winemakers. His focus is on quality of grapes from the outset. Grapes are hand-selected with a good 'thump' of Petit Verdot included in the blend to provide added complexity and elegant red fruit depth. The wine is oak-aged before final blending and then transferred to bottle. With good raw ingredients and a delicate hand in the winery, it's hard to see how Miles will ever produce anything less than superior wines, red or white!
