Member Review by VegasOenophile:

Aromas of pear, lime zest and mineral. Polished and silky on the palate with green apple and floral flavors. Off-dry finish. Nice, crisp and fresh. Vibrant and with nice balance. 3/24/12

Farming is in our blood. Our parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles all made their living working the land. Eastern Washington is in our blood. We came here as young children and have always called it home. When we planted our first vines in 1997 we were entering uncharted territory. Today, we farm 13 distinct estate vineyard sites totaling nearly 1600 acres. Our grapes are purchased by some of the most prestigious wineries in the state. Our own winery, launched in 2005, produces highly-individualistic wines from our estate and neighboring vineyards. Jim McFerran, one of the foremost viticulturists in Washington, joined us back in 1997 to help with the intricacies of planting. We were very careful about matching the right variety to the right site. Our goal was to be the best growers in the state. From the start, demand for our grapes was immediate and overwhelming. As farmers, there is nothing more satisfying than controlling the quality and style of your product from start to finish. In June of 2007, under the direction of veteran winemaker Gordon Hill, we launched the Milbrandt Vineyards label. Read less

Quite good, and I agree with the last taster: very little residual sugar and very restrained for a NA riesling. Pale in color, this wine had Meyer lemon, orange blossom, and lemon peel aromas and flavors. A juicy finish, relatively low alcohol at 12.5%, and a very good pricepoint make this an excellent QPR wine. It's not super complex, but it will combine with your Chinese or Thai takeout like a wine 2x it's price.

Tasting Notes: Our 2015 Traditions Riesling is made in a refreshing, off-dry style with aromas of sweet Elberta peach, ripe Granny Smith apple, and zesty Key lime. This wine is bright with a pronounced minerality, reminiscent of wet stone, and has a crisp clean finish. Words from the Winemaker: The 2015 vintage was uncharacteristically hot for Washington, which typically is not good for Riesling. However, we were very fortunate to be able to use only Evergreen Vineyard Riesling for this blend, which is a cool site that was not subjected to the same heat the rest of Washington experienced. The result is a Riesling with broad density in the mouthfeel, bright and ripe aromas, yet great acidity. - Emily Haines Alcohol: 11.5% RS: 1.2% pH: 2.98 TA: 8.5 g/l
