Miguel Torres Santa Digna Cabernet Sauvignon Rose 2015

Member Review by rreichert:

Full review: http://blog.oe-no-phile.com/2009/07/rose-to-kick-all-other-roses-in-teeth.html Tasting Notes Appearance: Clear with medium+ intensity. Definitely darker/deeper than many a rosé - somewhere between rose and cranberry juice pink. Nose: Just shy of being incredibly aromatic, the youthful aromas definitely jump out. Included are grapefruit, citrus, lemon, cherry, strawberry, very soft vegetal, and floral notes. Palate: Dry wine with medium+ acidity, body, and alcohol. Each sip leaves your mouth watering, making for a very refreshing wine. Flavors are medium in intensity and make me think of cranberry, sour cherry, lemon, green apple, pineapple and other tropical fruit, and bell pepper - thank you C.S.

Don Miguel Torres:
The Torres family surname has been linked with wine for more than three centuries, during which time our ancestors have worked vineyards in Penedès, a land with a millenarian tradition of wine. Our family has been dedicated to working the land, passing on their commitment from generation to generation.

I taste rhubarb and cranberry. A slight fizz on the tongue. Intense, tart, flavourful and very thirst quenching.

Wine Tasting NotesA beautiful pale cherry colour. The aroma is concentrated and powerful, reminiscent of plums and strawberries over a background of grapefruit. A full-flavoured wine with a delicate fruity acidity and outstanding floral flavours (reminiscent of violet and orange blossom). The aftertaste is long and smooth, with excellent balance. Excellent as an aperitif or cured meat (e.g.ham, sausages and salami), and many pasta and vegetable dishes. Superb with oriental food.
