Miguel Torres las Mulas Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2015

Winemaker's Notes:

In Chiles' Central Valley, between the Pacific and the Andes mountains, 'Las Mulas' is born. This wine, made by the Torres Family, comes from certified organic vineyards where viticultural methods respect the environment. Chickens and geese roam freely through the vineyards, but our most prominent animal is Rufina, our faithful companion: the mule. She helps us achieve a better balance with nature and accompanies us on walks through the steep Andean peaks.

Don Miguel Torres:
The Torres family surname has been linked with wine for more than three centuries, during which time our ancestors have worked vineyards in Penedès, a land with a millenarian tradition of wine. Our family has been dedicated to working the land, passing on their commitment from generation to generation.

Rusty reds throughout and strawberry flesh tinges around the rim, this also shows nice clarity with some minor suspended particles too. Aromas are a blend of fruit forward Cab and more Earthy tones (sun drenched berries, stony clay soil and leather). Flavors follow suit, with rich deep berries, licorice hints, leather, black coffee tinges and currant deepness. Mouthfeel that is smooth generally with only small outbursts of alcohol fire....14% alcohol is very well rounded! I like the fact that is is certified organic (yes I know it's not healthier lol, just no pesticides used!) so I appreciate this! I recommend and will purchase again in the future!

Tasting Notes:

Dark red in colour. Aroma of red fruits with notes of spices. Palate with elegant, rounded tannins. Long, consistent aftertaste.
