Food Pairings for Midlife Crisis Merlot Paso Robles
old-world all the way. very bordeaux-like in its approach with the vegetal component of a Chinon. not much fruit except for a lite black cherry soda note on the finish. nice rich mouthfeel. really good wine with pork roast and baked beans. It would get a higher rating if it was half the price.
deep red cherry and green and black pepper predominate on the nose with underlying tobacco notes. rich supple mouth with earthy mushroom and green olive notes with a hint of caramel and gentle rose on the finish. This wine will pair well with big red meats dishes or a smoky cheese.
