What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Editorial Reviews

Little Gewurtzy floral spice, some honied spice tones, green apple and lime, simple, balanced, pleasant, yet innocuous. Light bodied, lowish alcohol feel, orange toned fruit up front, some nice spice across the palate, a Chenin Blanc like feel, a lot of orchard fruit on the back end, then dropping off rather quickly. 85

Really enjoyable fruit aromas and flavors do not overpower the senses, the relatively low residual sugar plays off well against the mild acidity and herbal/floral qualities of the wine. Mango and papaya fruits with kiwi and strawberries dance on the tongue, and a backbone of cocoa butter keeps it together.

Flavors of melon, pear, tangerine, rose petals, lychee, lemon zest. After a second or two, lush melon and sweet pear. A lingering note of minerals finishes it off.

Subtle nose with light tropical fruits. Crisp and light with orange and melon, followed by a long consistent finish. Very enjoyable.

Nose of lemon meringue, in the mouth the wine jumps into peaches, melon and kiwi. Very crisp, tart, finish on lemons. Nice. Great for the warm weather.
