Michel Torino Torrontes Cuma Organic 2012

Member Review by zufrieden:

This organic Torrontés is more intriguing than most of the examples one finds; the nose is highly aromatic and indeed exotic: the scent of rosewater and even jasmine is evident. On the palate, there is spicy star anise and ginger along with apricot. More serious than most examples, this wine should interest those with a more experimental bent. Let's hope for more of this quality at this price. 87 points.

The winery took it's name from the legend of El Esteco City. According to this tale, Esteco was an opulent city in the north of Argentina. Its buildings, covered with silver shone and its people dressed in gold. In 1692 an earthquake buried the city and his its treasures. In the late 1970's the company bought the El Esteco estate and recovered the hidden treasure. We discovered the riches came from the soil. In honour to the legend, El Esteco produces the best grapes used for Michel Torino top export wines. Read less
