What to Expect

The Gamay grape finds it's home in France's Burgundy region where it is responsible for the red wines of Beaujolais. Producing light to medium bodied wines with modest tannins and good acidity, Gamay is unfairly associated with Beaujolais Nouveau. It is capable of producing wonderful, cherry and raspberry flavored wines with earthy hints of violets and spice.

Reviews

This is a 100% destemmed cuvee and has a different label than the normal Tete stuff seen stateside. It has a bright and almost silky nose. Stylish nose. Really nuanced but not overdone. The palate is just a pure fruit explosion and remains very silky. This is very forward attractive stuff and it might be brought in to the US. Only time will tell. This red wine is made from the Gamay grape variety. On the palate you'll find fresh cherries and black pepper fruit aromas.
