Winemakers Notes

The boys from Michael David(7 Deadly Zins, Earthquake, Incognito) are at it again. Before the wine the bottle itself is worth the purchase, you could take hours deciphering the label and it's many meanings. On to the wine, the color is as dark as midnight, rich with tons of flavor, raspberry, caramel, and leather from the 15% Petit Verdot. This wine is great now but give it another year and it will be rocking.

What's New in Booze - 9.2 out of 10
This wine is properly named since it is a blend of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petite Verdot, and with the way U.S. wine laws are you would usually see this style blend just labeled 'Petite Sirah' since there is more than 75% of Petite Sirah in the blend. When you pour it into your glass you first notice the deep purple color that leads to nose full of plums, violets and baking spices. The palate is big and bold with flavors of plum, blackberry and currant that almost slap you in the face. The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak which adds a slight vanilla read more...

Bouquet is full. The flavor is at the finish. Such a nice change of pace in the red category. Smooth as hell.

Love this. The second best of the wines from david + michael behind Lust. Full bodied but not as full bodied as Lust. It was a suprise hit for me. If you like full bodied wines, this will be a hit for you

Had this at a restaurant in Nashville. Came home and bought a case. Lovely body to this wine, and soft tannins, so none of that pucker that I hate.
