Seven of Lodi's best growers gave their souls and the firstfruits of each of their old vine vineyards to contribute to the layered complexity of this fanciful blend. Soft, supple pepper and licorice-clove notes merge into a sinful marriage of deep, brambly blackberries and lustful cherries. The finish is clean on the palate with hints of rich vanilla, cocoa, and mild tannins.

This is splendid choice. The nose is very soft and fruity. First taste is VERY smooth and I agree with the notes about the hint of pepper that makes itself known, alongside a bit of chocolate as well. The mouth feel is very good. Not too harsh on the palette and lingers for just the right amount of time. The tannins are just the way I like it. Enough to know they are there, but not SO much you wish they would leave. I'm upset I actually had to swallow each sip.
Definitely a "BUY AGAIN"

Great zinfandel and did you see the price for this one too? You can not beat this wine. Lovely flavors. Someone tried squeezing the bottle trying to get the last drops.

Excellent value. I tend to shy away from cheesy names, but I'm such a Zin fan that it was inevitable that someone would give this to me. Full of chocolate, pepper and tobacco flavor.

I love zins so this was a great find. A Great 2005 bottle and the wine is solid effort showing plenty of oak in addition to its cherry, raspberry, and earthy personality.

Decant a must for the flavor. Tabacco, pepper, and chocolate....just lovely. Love Zins and this one was especially great for the price!

One of the better priced Zins sold at a majority of the DC restaurants and almost every grocery store. Easily a good buy and perfect for bringing as a dinner gift. Very peppery, but smooth and with a nice finish. Decant if you can and you will love this wine.
