One of the better Syrahs I have had in a long time.
My wife and I had the 2011 vintage of this wine with some spicy BBQ pork last night and it was fantastic! It was a bit terse before we decanted it but it opened up nicely afterwards.
This is a good, solid wine. Good juice - mixed berry Jolly Rancher - with hint of cassis and pepper; well integrated oak and smooth tannins; fairly good blackberry and pepper finish.
Very easy to like. It may very well find a place in my wine rotation.
I love BBQ, and this syrah exhibits all of its best qualities. Smoke and baked cherries highlight this very nice wine. Kudos to Lodi & nice job 6th Sense.

Awaken your sixth sense to this shadowy concoction of spine-tingling intensity. Smoky layers of white pepper, cigar box cedar, and toasty mesquite meld easily with spicy plum and rich gooseberry. Scare yourself sober with this hair-raising Syrah
Richness (of both flavor and texture) marks this deeply colored, full-bodied Syrah. Aromas of ripe blackberry and licorice coupled with flavors of clove and blackberry jam make it luscious yet not overly big. It has the firm tannins and good balance for aging through 2019.
The classic 2012 Syrah 6th Sense does not compete flavor-wise with the two Cabernets or the Petite Petit, but it is an attractive, supple, full-bodied, black-fruited Syrah offering notes of roasted meats, black olive tapenade, and blackberries. Soft, round and juicy, it is best drunk over the next several years.

Offers lots of oak, no doubt, giving it a toasty, smoky core of flavors, dominating the ripe plum and berry flavors, leaving a lasting impression of an oak-driven wine. Drink now through 2015.
The 2006 Syrah 6th Sense displays full body, black currant and charcoal notes, with hints of underbrush/forest floor. It has admirable purity as well as excellent power and depth.
