Description Hang around with a winemaker long enough an you will most certainly hear on countless occasions that "great wine is made in the vineyard!" Truth be told, the influence of the vineyard can't be understated. At an elevation of approximately 1,200 feet and palnted with 25-30 year old vines, our Pugash Vineayrd Chardonnay is a prefect example. While these old vines yield less than 2 tons per acre, the depth of the root system produces wines of incredible complexity and character. One of the hallmarks read more...of mountain fruit is the richness and intensity of the crop. While this is a big, rich, full-bodied Chardonnay it also conjures up a tantalizing and intriguing minerality that compliments nicely its velvety texture. Succulent tropical flavors and fibrant citrus notes tease the palate along with hints of creamy white chocolate, freshly baked bread, vanilla spice and toasty oak. Suprisingly, at what appears to be it's apex, the acidity and minerality kick in to insure a clean, long-lasting and satisfying finish. 2005 Chardonnay Sonoma Montain Tasting Notes
