Winemaker's Notes:

The Pinot Grigio varietal has been cultivated since a long time in the Adige Valley, where it is also known as Ruländer. The shape of the bunches of grapes, copper-grey in colour, reveals its close relationship to the Pinot Nero from which it seems to derive. Favourable soils to its cultivation are both in the deep valley as well as on low hills. The Pinot Grigio Riserva is produced with grapes cultivated in the vineyards of one of the most traditional areas for this varietal: named “Zablani”, which is situated Northeast of Mezzocorona and characterized by watery soils and good drainage, very similar to the adjacent zone of Teroldego.

Tasting Notes:

Fragrance: complex, with notes reminiscent of ripe fruit (white peach, pear and mature camomile), well-harmonised by the sweet notes which derive from the refining in oak. Flavour: harmonious, elegant, refined with a fresh and elegant finish.
