Winemaker's Notes:

Notes on the Meyer Vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 : NVWE NOTES: Well-ripened, yet elegantly balanced, the nose of this impressive Cabernet is a rich mix of spiced red plums, cherries, red currants and earth, tied to mocha and caramel-accented vanilla. A similar pattern emerges on the palate, where again the fruit is very ripe and decidedly earthy, while a zesty crispness brings balance and food-worthiness. The wine finishes with plenty of sweet oak, earth, cherry and currant fruit set on a lean, Bordeaux-like frame. Its mix of richness and zest suggests that it will be an especially fine companion to sauced meats. Certain to improve for two years, it should be splendid already with Tournedos or Chateaubriand Marchand de Vin. MEYER VINEYARD NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2004
