Meursault-Blagny 1-Er Cru. Chateau de Blagny. Louis Latour 2009
An exclusive of Maison Louis Latour (monopole), the Château de Blagny is located high on the hillside overlooking Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. A wonderful wine, traditionally vinified and matured in small oak barrels. It displays all the attributes of exemplary white Burgundy, showing opulence and a minerally freshness, coupled with rich, fat flavours which develop magnificently over time.
Food Pairings for Meursault-Blagny 1-Er Cru. Chateau de Blagny. Louis Latour
With a lightly oaky aroma, this pale yellow Meursault 1er Cru also reveals notes of acacia flowers and honey. Clean, with minerality coming through, this wine has impressive length and leaves citrus notes on the back-palate. Tasted November 2010.
Notes: 8 to 12 months aging in oak barrels (25% new oak), 100% malolactic fermentation
