Merryvale Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Dark purple in color with generous aromas of currants, blackberry, licorice, chocolate, black olive, espresso and vanilla. The wine is round and full on the palate with forward fruit and great structure from the balanced acid and tannins. Decant this wine in its youth and enjoy for the next 10+ years. - See more at: http://www.merryvale.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=winedetails.displaywinetype&wineTypeID=39#sthash.OIpNCXTd.dpuf
The nose showed black currant, a dusting of dark chocolate, lavender and a bit of butter cookie. On the palate, I found it to be a bit sweet with flavors of black cherry, plum sauce and clove. It's body was velvety and full with a slight coating of fine tannin, which was left behind after each sip. The finish fell a bit short, yet showed ripe berries, which turned a bit sour with time. For the money, this is a highly enjoyable bottle of Cabernet.
Smooth, light and enjoyable. Justin had rehearsal dinner here
Ready to drink now, crimson colored. Mature. Supple, black-berries, dusty.

Supple aromas of concentrated blackberry and cassis echo on the palate showing the fruit's fine Napa Valley breeding and structure. Try with roast duck and turkey or barbeque.

Robert Parker calls it an excellent value - which packs a lot of flavor and intensity for its price. This dense ruby/purple-colored Cabernet reveals plenty of cassis, cedar, licorice and spice notes. It is a delicious, medium-bodied wine with supple tannins and a long finish.
Our 2007 Napa Cabernet is very dark red in color with aromas of currents, black cherry, violets, and cedar along with vanilla and toasty oak. The mouthfeel is generous with fine tannins and a long finish.
Dunkles Purpurrot. In der Nase nimmt man Aromen roter und schwarzer Johannisbeeren, Vanille und exotischer Gewürze wahr. Rund und harmonisch am Gaumen, mit weichen, gut eingebundenen Tanninen. Langer Nachhall.
