Light gold in color, lemon cream and honeysuckle on the nose. Lemon chiffon, a hint of dried pineapple, green apple and under ripe peach. This has a somewhat creamy texture but crisp acidity and a very pleasant, clean, medium length finish. Extremely enjoyable!

The aroma is floral and mouthwatering, layered with ripe melon, peach and subtle mineral highlights. In the mouth, it is rich and seamlessly well balanced, kicking in a hint of grapefruit, cirrus and pear on the lingering finish.

Merry and Ken completed their state-of-the-art winery facility in 2008 on the site of Coopersmith Vineyard. Merry’s focus is on handcrafted wines and site-specific viticulture. This Sauvignon Blanc is one of their most popular wines. More than 50% of the fruit is from vines 25 to 35 years old. Sauvignon Musqué or Savagnin Musqué fruit as it is known in Bordeaux, makes up about 20% of the blend. The wine is barrel fermented with biweekly lees stirring to give the wine richness and texture. Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored it 90 points saying "Oaky petrol opens the nose of this classically popular and well-loved white from the queen of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Vibrant and fresh, it's medium-bodied with a rounded girth and complexity. The finish is sheer orange blossom and tangerine."

The smoky edge and nervy acidity weave in and out, giving this a fresh finish. Drink now."

The producer continues to impress with this variety, an increasingly popular wine for her loyal followers and beyond. Rich in crème brûlée and vanilla, it’s layered and well-textured, a mix of pear and orange blossom with a tropical edge that finishes with a nice lift of minerality.
