Big, fruity—sweet apple—nose. Plenty of that same fruitiness on the tongue, maybe with some apricot flavor—it’s almost, but not quite sweet. Then, I get a bit of minerality. The wine seems to be a bit viscous. At the back of the palate there seems to be some effervescence. All the fruitiness in this wine makes me think that it would pair well with fish served with a mango salsa or chicken with chutney.

Aromas of melon, grapefruit and flowers, complicated by minerals and toast. Supple and lightly saline, with an umami richness of texture to the ripe flavors of peach, pear and flowers. Mellow acidity accentuates the wine’s leesy opulence. Finishes with good persistence.
A smooth and silky white, showing spicy details of nutmeg and quince that are joined by pure, ripe honeydew melon and cantaloupe flavors. Pear, lemon zest and apricot notes are elegant, lithe and nicely juicy on the finish. Drink now through 2015.
