Merriam Vineyards Merlot Russian River Valley Windacre 2004

Member Review by WineborkDotCom:

This flavorful and fairly-priced Merlot, from a small vineyard at the northern end of the Russian River appellation, has something of the forward fruitiness and chewy texture of a California Syrah. Rich aromas and flavors of dark currants, dark cherry, milk chocolate, and coffee, along with a nice dose of spiciness. Good grip in the mouth and finish. Drinking beautifully now.
