Bitter, watery, afraid it could be from two bad bottles, but TWO? And it wasn't disgusting. Just very unpleasant. The nose almost suggests fortification, but not the palette. Note this Meridian wine is a product of Italy, not their Napa vineyards. Italian pinot? This one leaves a lot to be desired

It displays a subtle nuance of black tea and earth with a dash of vanilla oak spice. The flavor profile is elegant and medium-bodied with a velvety texture. Its complex flavors are juicy and mouth-filling, mirroring the aromas, including cherry, fig fruit and cola. It caresses the palate with slightly firm tannins and a long finish.
This is light, fruity and soft, ranging in flavor from raspberry and strawberry to tart cherry. Remarkably easy on the wallet, and ready for a steak.

From a winery that doesnrsquo;t ever seem to do anything wrong comes this fine, almost complex wine. It would probably be fantastic from a better vintage. As it is, itrsquo;s good, with some density to it, and spicy, aromatic fruit that satisfies despite thinness in the middle palate. Considering how hard it is to find good Pinot at this price, you have to consider it a great value.
I happened to taste this right after a Pinot that cost five times as much, and this one wasnrsquo;t shamed. In fact, it stood up quite well. No, it didnrsquo;t have the concentration, but the purity of fruit, crisp acids and silky texture make for a lovely Pinot Noir.
Medium-bodied, with spicy cinnamon, berry and cedar notes that pick up a touch of fresh earth and blueberry on the finish. Drink now.
