Mer Soleil Chardonnay Santa Lucia Highlands Silver Unoaked 2008
It lacks any excitement in the bottle. It tastes just like a prototypical Chardonnay, with very little making you want to come back. That said, it's not bad, it's just not complex at all.
well I was drawn to the ceramic bottle, but the wine itself is enjoyable as well - aromas of golden apples, prickly pear, tiny hints of citrus and vanilla. The palate extends to golden apple and pear fruit, nice acidity, hot finish
This wine is a lot more than a pretty bottle. It's an easy-sipping chard, with lots of citrus but surprisingly light on the acid. The finish was a little tart, but I really enjoyed drinking this wine.
An interesting concept, but lacks the complexity which I look for in Chardonnay. Good conversation piece, though. Fruity, but rather flat.

Tasting Notes - Light gold color with a pale green tint. Clean, lively aromas of honeydew melon and green apple carry over to delicate tropical fruit flavors of pineapple and papaya, balanced with crisp mineral notes. The full texture lasts through a luxuriously long finish.
Food Pairings for Mer Soleil Chardonnay Santa Lucia Highlands Silver Unoaked

This wine has a strong mineral nose with hints of citrus. Due to it's fermentation in cement tanks the palate is soft and round with strong acidity and flavors of lemons, gooseberry and grapefruit. The finish is dry with a good balance of acid and mineral.
