Mer Soleil Chardonnay 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

Citrus driven nose. Hints of matchstick, pineapple, banana and coconut. Soft and round entry. Oak is apparent but not defining. Mid-palate goes on to reveal other layers of flavors - vanilla, lemon meringue pie, and again coconut. Finish is rich with viscosity that coats the mouth for minutes after your last sip.

Offers a ripe fruit cocktail mix of flavors. Intense, layered and spicy, with a dash of light cedary oak. Drink now through 2016.

Oak brings strong buttered toast and vanilla flavors to this Chardonnay. But itandrsquo;s also a powerhouse from the vineyard, with massive orange, pineapple and apricot flavors. May even have some botrytis, to judge from the honeyed sweetness. Yet for all the opulence, the finish is dry.

Deep straw in color. This boasts an expressive nose of ripe yellow stone fruit, pineapple and and a touch of orange zest framed by crisp citrus. Full bodied, the palate offers rich notes of stone fruit, green apple and a touch of honey. Both rich and... Geoffrey Binder.
