Menage a Trois Moscato 2015

Member Review by StukNlodi:

Meh - slight bitter grapefruit notes. Very similar to Dancing Coyote moscato. No effervescent at all, more like muscat than moscato.

In 1981, two wine-loving psychiatrists established a boutique winery they name Folie a Deux, a French term meaning “A passion shared by two.”  Thirty years later, our shared passion is creating world-class varietal wines from the leading appellations of Sonoma County. Made to be enjoyed upon release, our Russian River Valley Chardonnay, Sonoma County Merlot, Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel embody the perfect fusion of grape variety and growing region.  Showcasing vibrant aromas and flavors, they offer a striking balance of intensity and accessibility.  At Folie a Deux, we think it’s ok to be a little crazy about wine.  After all, we are! Not bad for the price! A tad on the watery side. Still sweet, but not too sweet. Great for putting a splash of wine in food/marinades for cooking.

Family did not like this (because of the aftertaste). I think it was 11% alcohol. Notes: bubbles galore-champagne cap. fizzy-flat top cap. no bubbles-some other cap. the lower the alcohol content, the sweeter the wine. Rosa Regale was 7. most moscatos around 5. from thekitchn.com/bubbles-galore-163009 : "Asti and Moscato d'Asti Asti and Moscato d'Asti are two other popular tank method sparkling wines from Piedmont, Italy. Moscato d'Asti is less effervescent than Asti. It is only slightly sparkling (frizzante), while Asti is fully sparking (Spumante). Both are sweet sparkling wines, Moscato d'Asti being the sweeter and also lower in alcohol (circa 5% compared to Asti at circa 9%)." (so I should buy d'ast instead of asti)
