Add your reviewThis is a great go-to wine when you don't feel like searching around. You can find it everywhere. The blend is good and has some good black and red berry flavors and some, though not a ton of depth. However, this is an amazing option as a go-to when you want to grab something that a lot of people will like - either for your own or someone else's dinner party, for example.
For the price, it's a okay. It's not water-y but it's tart and a tiny bitter bitter on the first and second sips. I'd say it's jammy, fruity and has a small bite. Just a cheap table wine.
Menage a Trois - Folie à Deux Ménage à Trois California Red Wine 2009, $ 8 - $10. A very drinkable fruit forward red that makes a nice everyday table wine. There's a lot of yummy, jammy fruit here but may be too simplistic for some (88 pts).
This was recommended by a friend...I found it to be "just okay". Good price though.
As many of the other reviews have pointed out, this red blend is definitely a "play it safe." When you find you need a wine quick to bring/serve at a party or if you just need a wine to go with tonight's everyday dinner, this is a good blend with both aromas and taste of berries. The blending method does allow for distinct taste of the three varietals with each one's unique characteristic subtly shinning through, but not strong enough for my own personal liking.
Full body cherry red wine. The taste is sweet and a little dry. It smells of black berries over all I like it

A fruit-forward blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Soft, sassy, and spicy with ripe flavors of blackberry, cranberry, and mocha.
This blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet sure is fun. it's gentle in body, with ripe, polished berry-cherry and cocoa flavors and a smattering of smoky oak. A great house red.
Even if you don't think you like red wine, the fresh, ripe, jam-like fruit of this three-grape blend may change your mind. Zinfandel gives it a juicy character, Merlot mellows and Cabernet adds backbone. Forward, spicy and soft, this delicious dalliance makes the perfect trio.
Three rockin’ red varitetals, Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, are blended together for a red wine that’s silky, succulent and sensational. Fermented separately, to retain their own unique character, the Folie a Deux winemaking team carefully compiled this ripe red blend in perfect proportion for a wine that’s’ supple with rich fruit and lively spice. Perfect for the barbecue or just easy sipping. All for an amazing value price.
Even if red wine is not your speed, give our Menage a Trois Red a try. This wine exposes the fresh, ripe, jam-like fruit that is the calling card of California wine. Three saucy grapes make up the blend. Zinfandel adds a juicy character, Merlot mellows and Cabernet adds backbone. Forward, spicy and soft, this delicious dalliance makes the perfect trio.
Winemaker's Notes:
Ménage à Trois red brings together three strange bedfellows: Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. To add complexity and retain character, each variety was fermented separately, then blended together prior to bottling. On top we’ve got Zinfandel, a saucy tease that brings blackberry and raspberry jam to the relationship. Merlot, with its generous mouth feel and red fruits, fits perfectly in the middle. The rich flavors and firm tannins of Cabernet Sauvignon make it the ideal candidate for the bottom layer of the trio.
Tasting Notes:
Our 2009 Ménage à Trois exposes the fresh, ripe, jam-like fruit that is the calling card of California wine. Forward, silky and soft, this delicious dalliance makes the perfect accompaniment for grilled meats or chicken.
