Winemaker's Notes:

Representing the ultimate expression of vineyard driven wines for Melville, this first time release originates from the highest, most wind swept parcel on our estate and is a block planted on clay-rich loam soil to only two Dijon clones: 114 and 115. The combination and juxtaposition of these elements forms a wine of complete elegance and definition that uniquely represents our estate. Cooperage was 40% new French oak and is the triumvirate of Marsannay, Mercurey and Sirugue. The wine was 25% whole-cluster fermented and was not pumped, fined or filtered. 15.1% alcohol.
