Winemaker's Notes:
California Grapevine: Medium-light ruby; pleasant, earthy, spicy, red cherry and strawberry fruit aroma with slight hints of cola, menthol, and forest floor; medium-full body; cedary, cherry and red berry fruit flavors that are nicely balanced and have some plummy richness; medium to medium-full tannin; slightly tart and drying on the finish; lingering aftertaste. Easy to drink now. Highly recommended. 14.1% alcohol; 2,800 cases. (Feb/Mar 2011)

Fresh fruit aromatics of black cherry, black raspberry and blood orange mix with pretty nuances of sandalwood, rose petal and gardenia. Spices reminiscent of cinnamon, salt-water taffy, rhubarb and dried herbs complete the background. The mouthfeel is dense and spherical offering a broad palate sensation while maintaining its restraint. The finish is savory with plenty of persistence and volume.
