Melka Cellars Cj Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Lean and earthy with dark berry flavors combine with vanilla and cinder box. Firm yet super juicy, this wine's velvety tannins integrate seemlessly with the acidity making it approachable even in its youth. Drink now or hold for up to 7-10 years. 1,100 cases produced.

Melka is probably the most famous California winemaker you've never heard of. Fifteen years ago, he moved here from Bordeaux to serve on the production team of Dominus, the Napa winery owned and operated by his fellow Bordelais, the Moueix family of Chateau Petrus. Since then he has consulted for more than 15 California wineries, including some of the most rarified names in the cult category, with past clients including Lail, Constant, Caldwell and Seavey, and current clients such as Bryant Family, Vineyard 29, Marston Family and Dalla Valle, and of course his own label, Melka Wines. The 2006 is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc all from Prime Napa Valley Vineyards. The was aged 19 months in French oak, 75% new. It shows a concentrated profile with velvety tannins and good intensity. Approachable now or cellar this beauty 1-3 years to let it really shine.<small>This item excluded from any other discounts or offers beyond the 15% case discount.
