Crisp in texture and beautifully focused to show its rose petal-accented blackberry and cherry flavors, finishing firm and persistent. Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and others. Best from 2009 through 2013.
Young, fragrant, and loaded with milk chocolate and spicy berry. Tight, tannic, with grip and tang; pleasingly moderate, listed under 14% alcohol. Although this has no Grenache in it, it has that sort of tart berry quality, with stiffer tannins.
Lithe and distinctive, with a harmonious range of blackberry, raspberry, cherry and spice mingling effortlessly on the light, refined finish. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo.
Washington Super Tuscan plus! Cabernet Sauvignon (33%), Sangiovese (26%), Merlot (25%), Syrah (13%) and if that wasn't enough a dash of Cabernet Franc (3%) like perfume behind the ears! This is Old World winemaking with experimental flair. Also delicious. Extremely balanced and pure with sinewy frame and layers of fresh, ripe fruit.
This bright blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, sangiovese and cabernet franc has a caramel scent to go along with its dark cassis flavors. Balanced, clean, fruity and bright, it's got the dusty sangiovese tannins for braised beef.
Not as forward and lush as the appealing 2005, this all-purpose red, tasted a few months prior to its official release, is still knitting the components together. What is in place is plenty of tart, ripe raspberry fruit, precise and clean, and a soft backdrop of lightly chocolaty tannins.
Fresh and lively, open in texture, with blackberry and red pepper aromas and flavors, picking up an earthy note as the sweet fruit persists on the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and others. Drink now through 2010.
