Meiomi Pinot Noir Nappa Valley 2012
Deep garnet color. Luxurious and dynamic aromas of ripe strawberry, bright cherry and faint notes of spicy oak and vanilla. The complexity of the palate smoothly layers rich red currant notes and baking spice flavors with light smoke, earth and leather. A balanced, velvety texture and supple tannins carry the wine through to a lingering, succulent finish.
Balanced dark fruit and soft tannins; pleasantly long finish. A bargin for pinot noir this good.
Big Sonoma coast pinot, full of ripe red and black fruit, spice and a touch of chocolate. This is not a light weight, if you're more into more acidic and bright pinot from Burgundy or Oregon you may be disappointed.
Had this last evening at Trombino's with a bowl of their Mussels Diavolo. Nice nose of tobacco and dark chocolate. Tasting of jammy raspberry and cherry with smoke and cedar. Full mouth feel, very smooth, and long long finish. Went very well with the Mussels and on its own. A wonderful surprise, for I was hardly expecting something this good.
Middle of the road Pinot for the price. Begins with jam and black cherry giving way to licorice and smoky undertones. Medium acidity, well balanced tannins. Medium finish.
Well-balanced pinot. Fruity and earthy but not sharp. Lots of vanilla. Age well?
A complex Pinot with a medium body and smooth finish. Very delicious for a $20 wine.

Deep, rich garnet color. The wine opens up with aromas of ripe berries, fresh cranberry, candy apple and malted vanilla, some of which carries through to the palate. There's a hint of Granny Smith apple on first sip that beautifully balances out the rich cream soda and cherry cola notes. It is an extremely layered wine, both in structure and flavor, with a slight earthiness and sweet oak on the finish. The wine almost contradicts itself, managing to display freshness and maturity all at the same time, which is achieved through careful blending. - Winery
Bold ripe and vibrant with expressive huckleberry boysenberry and blueberry this is as unbridled as you might expect for a 2012 but deliciously complex. Drink now through 2020.
Bright, deep garnet color. Aromas of cola, blackberries and a sweet cedar note. A greatly layered palette abundant in flavor and texture. The first entry encases the mouth with a velvety richness. Then the wine unloads with flavors of bright cherry, cola,
Savings by the Case! The name Meiomi means coast in the language of the native, coastal dwelling Wappo and Yuki tribes, and best pays tribute to and symbolizes the origin of this Pinot Noir.
Bright, deep garnet color. Aromas of cola, blackberries and a sweet cedar note. A greatly layered palette abundant in flavor and texture. The first entry encases the mouth with a velvety richness. Then the wine unloads with flavors of bright cherry, cola, dried leaves undertoned with vanilla, leather and high style oak. The many layers emerge independently, then refocus while the supple tannins carry the wine through to a lingering, succulent finish.
